Model page, ductless multi-zone
Fujitsu AIRSTAGE XLTH
Fujitsu’s extra-low-temperature heating line, one outdoor unit running up to five indoor units, rated to operate at -15F. This page also carries the finding most quotes leave out: as verified, these multi-zone units do not earn Maine’s per-unit rebate.

Indoor units one XLTH outdoor unit can run
XLTH stands for Extra Low Temperature Heating. The verified outdoor units are the AOU18RLXFZH, AOU24RLXFZH and AOU36RLXFZH — multi-zone systems that heat two to five rooms from one outdoor unit, sized from 18,000 to 36,000 BTU/h. The mid-size unit is rated at 22,000 BTU/h of cooling and 25,000 BTU/h of heating. Fujitsu’s claim for the line is that it heats at lower outdoor temperatures than any other mini-split available today; we print it as the manufacturer’s claim, not ours.

What the states pay for it
A rebate never attaches to a model name alone — it attaches to a unit on a program’s list, installed to the program’s rules. For this series, the Maine answer is the one a quote may not mention.
$0
Not eligible, as verified
Maine — Efficiency Maine, whole-home rebate
Efficiency Maine’s per-unit rebate — $1,000 to $3,000 by income — pays only for single-zone heat pumps. The XLTH units we verified on Fujitsu’s own site are all multi-zone outdoor units, so this series, as we can verify it, does not earn the rebate. A multi-zone system’s design-temperature heating capacity can still count toward the sizing worksheet for a whole-home project, but the check to the homeowner is $0.
Fujitsu also markets a single-zone XLTH platform, which could qualify. We found it only in a secondary source and could not verify its model number on the manufacturer’s site, so we do not present it as verified.

Vermont — Efficiency Vermont, ductless heat pump
An instant discount at participating distributors: $375 for a system of two tons or less, $475 above two tons, plus $600 more for integrated controls. Equipment must be on Efficiency Vermont’s qualifying list, which has a category for ductless multi-zone heat pumps built from the NEEP cold-climate list.

Minnesota — Xcel Energy, cold-climate mini-split
Xcel’s $2,000 rebate for a cold-climate mini-split requires 16.0 SEER2, 9.0 EER2 and 9.5 HSPF2 with a Quality Installation, for Combo or natural-gas customers ($1,500 electric-only). We have not yet verified this model’s published ratings against those numbers, so treat the $2,000 as possible, not promised.

Its NEEP row
The NEEP cold-climate list standardizes capacity and COP at 5F for every listed unit — the fairest comparison between brands. The list is an interactive application that resisted our checks, so we have not read this model’s row.
A single-zone XLTH model number
Fujitsu’s single-zone XLTH platform could be the version that qualifies in Maine. We found it described in a secondary source only and could not verify it on the manufacturer’s site, so we do not name a model number here.
Its efficiency ratings
We have not verified this unit’s SEER2, EER2 and HSPF2 numbers, so we do not print them. The Xcel rebate in Minnesota turns on those exact figures.
The state equipment lists
Efficiency Maine’s rebate-eligible list file and Efficiency Vermont’s qualifying-products list both resisted our checks on our date, so per-model confirmation for Vermont rests on program rules, not the lists themselves.

Where it shows up on quotes
Vermont
Fujitsu XLTH is the main alternative to Mitsubishi on Vermont installer pages, and the state leads New England in heat pumps installed per person.
Maine
Homeowner threads commonly name Fujitsu alongside Mitsubishi — but for Maine rebates, the single-zone question on this page decides the money.
Minnesota
Fujitsu appears on more than one contractor’s brand list in the Minnesota heat pump collaborative’s directory, alongside Mitsubishi, Trane, Bosch and Daikin.
